Continuing Professional Development Seminars

NBCC (National Building Code of Canada) Presentation

June 6th

Engineers Yukon is proud to present a learning opportunity at a great price for both its members and non-members alike. Please forward this information to any non-members who you think may be interested in these subjects.

The topics below will be presented in two sessions as indicated. The presentations will be by Stan Dueck, Yukon Chief Building Inspector and will cover highlights of these topics as described in the 2015 NBCC as well as the proposed, associated revisions to the 2020 NBCC and how the code may be evolving. The topics are especially relevant given changes to combustible construction being driven by new wood-based technologies.

These presentations will be valuable to anyone who works in buildings or building systems design, and of most interest to structural engineers, architects and mechanical engineers, both junior and experienced. The sessions will include opportunities to ask questions and have interactive discussions.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided for those who’ve signed up for either session.
